MVISION ePO Migration (Issues & Questions)

Jump to solution

We have been able to link and migrate some clients from our on premise ePO to MVISION ePO.

The first issue I had found is every week or so I click on MVISION ePO Migration and it's list the username and password linking our on premise ePO to the MVISION ePO tenant.

The second issue/question I have found is I setup a new subgroup so that I could migrate handfuls of clients at a time. Is there any way to automatically migrate those clients added to that subgroup with a server task?

I tried using the setting "Auto Migrate newly added Systems" but that doesn't seem to do anything. Is that setting only for new clients to the ePO or new clients to the subgroup I selected to migrate?

could you redefine the first question please

For the second question, i dont think we have a server task to achieve automatic migration based on a system group, "Auto Migrate newly added Systems" will take care of that if a machine comes to a pre migrated group, please see below doc:

Click Settings to customize the migration, then click Save.

  • Migrate resources — Select Client Task, Policy, Active Directory configuration, and Tag to migrate them from your system to MVISION ePO.
  • Delete Systems after Migration — Select to delete the migrated systems on McAfee ePO On-Premises server after migrating to MVISION ePO.
  • Auto Migrate newly added Systems — Select to automatically migrate the newly added systems of a pre-migrated group.

Thank you, ignore my first question for now. I will see if it happens again.
