    Client not getting policies

ePO 4.0 is running on W2k3. I have a server (that's an ePO client), who appears to be managed by ePO, but doesn't get the policy settings. I drilled down in ePO to this server and created policies specific to this server as it runs an app that requires some changes to the lighten up the AV config. I went as far as manually removing McAfee 8.0 from from this client and installing 8.7, and the 4.0 agent. When I right click the shield, I get the minimal menu that is set in the ePO policy (it was getting the full menu after the initial install), but things like Access Protection and Buffer Overflow don't match the settings in ePO. We can change them locally on the client, but we would of course prefer to have ePO's policies be in effect.

Any ideas or suggestions? Let me know if you need any other info. Thanks!

The "Agent_[servername]_error.log" on the client has the repeating error below.
