    ePO Scheduled Tasks Running Wild

I have ePO 4.0 console and 4.0 agents running in our environment. I've recently noticed on my own logs as well as others that two tasks scheduled to run daily continue to run over and over again regardless of the schedule that I have set.

The two tasks include a update task which is set to run between 10:30 and 5:00, local time, every three hours and a deployment task which is set to run 9:00 am every day, once a day. Here are the Agent logs for today.... Both tasks set to repeat if missed every 15 minutes.

Troubleshooting down, upgraded to the latest ePO agent patch, rebooted the ePO server, disabled and reinstalled the tasks. Does anyone know what might be going on here?

it looks like you have the check box enabled that states "run at every policy enforcement interval" in your update/deployment task. this means in addition to running the task at your scheduled 3 hour interval, it will also run it at policy enforcement time which is every 5 mins by default.

Sorry to report back so late on this. Here is what mcafee finally got back to me.

"The agent nor the product is broken. The agent log is just incorrectly repeating this message in the log. We are now aware of the issue and it will be corrected in the next release of the agent version 4.5."

Thank you for the input djjava9.
