you need to push using admin rights to the remote pc, big problems if they are in workgroups rather than domain
I agree.. but i would rather test it on a workgroup since i have other SQL servers and the EPO live on the network..
Will i need to place the installation files on the server first or its all automatic?
I have set up the NAP files on the server and i did an agent push.. in the report it tells me it successfully was completed, however on the client computer there isnt an icon on the taskbar and in taskmanager its showing me mctray.exe amd frameworkservices.exe, and in services there is on ty McAfee framework service running..
Can someone help me out?
sometimes the M takes a while to show up, you can bring it up manually by either running cmdagent.exe /s from the local machine or by running an update/policy enforcement
I have tried the cmdagent.exe /s and its telling me that windows cannot find 'cmdagent.exe.
In services its only showing the framework service and in taskmanager showing me mctray.exe and frameworkservies.exe.
I have checked in the epo server log and here it is:

you have to browse to the agent install folder in run and then run cmdagent.exe /s from the run command
I ran it and the agent monitor appeared.. but still no antivirus appeared to scan windows, just a list of options on the right hand side.
now you have an agent installed you have to setup and schedule a deployment task in EPO to deploy VSE to the pc'sand then make sure it is applied to the relevant pc's
supprisingly enough i waited and it installed itself.. seems to be working well.. is there anyway i can test its working well?
