There is not an option to generate an "immediate" response. The closest would be what you have described which is an automated server task. Client machines automatically upload the incident data generated in 5 minute intervals. Once the data is on the server an email notification can be generated based on the server task - you can schedule the task at most hourly by default or you can use cron scheduling (found under the advanced section) to increase the frequency if needed.

Under the DLP incident manager > Incident Tasks > Automatic mail notification
i can create the task to email but it does not work.
(when i go to the incident and select action > email, i receive the email.)
is this the same scenario where hhoang suggests to create a server task?
i see the task to enable under the server tasks. once enabled, i received emails.
