Upgrade ePO database from SQL Express to SQL Server?

    web1b

Our ePO server is running on SQL Express 2012 and we want to be able to enable the database recovery snapshot feature.

I was told that we have to use a full SQL server to enable the database recovery snapshot option.

If we install SQL Server 2012, how can we move the database from SQL Express to SQL Server?

I found this archived thread that says you can do disaster recovery snapshot even with SQL Server Express.

How to install ePO 5.1.0 using disaster recovery snapshot?

I was told in another thread that you cannot create disaster recovery snapshots with SQL Express.  We have ePO Sever 5.3.2 .

The ePO 5.3 product guide says using SQL Express with disaster recovery snapshot  is "not recommend" due to database size limitations.  It doesn't say it is impossible or unsupported.

However, I could not get the option to enable.

What is correct?   I don't want to needlessly upgrade the database since it is well within the size limits of Express and the upgrade to full SQL Server is very expensive and will add unnecessary complexity.
