are you checking it in still zipped?
Yep. I originally tried it unzipped and pointed ePO to the pkgCatalog.z file, I then tried it with the .exe file and then tried it zipped as they sent it (after reading a bit more :o). The first 2 gave me an "The package is currupt" error and then the error above for the 3rd attempt.
what patch level of epo 4.0?
Not patched at all. Been having trouble trying to apply patch 2 as well
Just a quick update to this.
Uninstalled ePO and reinstalled as the domain admin. Turned out that somehow I had installed it originally as the local server admin instead of on the domain. Patch 2 now applied without any trouble, all the extensions installed and checked in the packeage for VirusScan 8.5 :D
Thanks for the help and i'm sure I'll be sticking around for a while yet whilst I get the hang of things and can hopefully help a few other people out :)
Just a quick one rather than starting a new thread, has anyone ever looked into offering ePO deployment and updates over the internet to clients via VPN or anything? ie ePO server in one location and clients in another town/city/country.
