    ePO update failed

      Hello

Having trouble with Master repository update

11/18/08 4:14:33 PM Started: Pulling content from McAfeeFtp to Current branch
11/18/08 4:14:34 PM Pull from site McAfeeFtp complete, no warnings
11/18/08 4:14:36 PM Failed: Update Master Repository (Failed to verify the file size, check server task log for details)

      EpoApsvr.log says this:

      20081118132833 I #9868 SIM_InetMgr Downloaded file Manifest.txt successfully in session 1
20081118132833 e #9868 SiteMgr VerifyFileItem: File size verification for C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\nai2722.tmp\00000003\Manifest.txt failed.
20081118132833 e #9868 SiteMgr CheckInMirrorPackage: Verify file Manifest.txt size and hash failed, hr=-111
      20081118132833 I #9868 SrvEvtInf Generating Event
      20081118132833 I #9868 naInet FTP Session 490 closed

Have located two manifest.txt and removed them locally from the ePO server according to KC article:
      https://kc.mcafee.com/corporate/index?page=content&id=KB52799&actp=search&search id=1227012589312
but can't find them in master repository (and don't expect them there either).

Can't remember what that file does...
Here's a snip of the first couple of rows:
      Application\Office XP.txt|1
      Infection\Lovsan.worm.a.txt|2
      Infection\NACHI.worm.txt|3
      Misc\Gator.txt|4
      Misc\ICQ.txt|5
      Security patch\MS01-034 (Q288266).txt|6
      Security patch\MS01-034 (Q302294).txt|7
      Security patch\MS01-038 (Q303825).txt|8

      ePO 4.0 patch 2
      VSE 8.5i P6.1
      MA 4.0

      Any clues?

      Best Regards

I get that error occasionally as well. I setup both an ftp and http pull that pull inbetween each other, so if one fails, the other will pull. Or you could just setup an http pull that you could manually start whenever the ftp fails.

I don't know what causes it, but I haven't had any problems since doing that.
