If the drive is encrypted using Full Disk Encryption this can only be unlocked with either the Encryption key from the machine the disk was removed from, or possibly using an Institution key owned by the system owner, assumed to be your previous employer.
Are you able to get the disk decrypted by your previous employer?
Thanks for you reply.
Unfortunately, I can not put my hard drive back in the original laptop.
I have the disk that is encrypted with me.
Due to the nature of Encryption technology, without the decryption key you will be unable to recover the data from the encrypted disk.
We cannot help.
Hello and thank you for the reply.
If I get the key, is it possible to mount a VM in my home and decrypt my hard drive?
If you are able to get the encryption key their are products on the market which can decrypt your files for you, but this falls outside the scope of this support.
