Is it possible to exclude a registry tree from scanning?

Hi folks, hope you can help.

We have a need to exclude a particular registry tree from being scanned by Virusscan. Is it possible to configure such an exclusion in EPO?

We are currently using EPO 3.6.1 but are working towards migrating to 4.0 shortly.

      Any information gratefully received.

      Thank you

          Hi,

So far I've only seen scanning files and directories... I haven't seen anything about scanning the registry ('though the registry is in several files, I don't think this applies here).

What I've seen is protecting the registry editors and protecting the registry from changes, i.e. preventing applications from changing the registry. Is this what you had in mind ?

Hi Serge, thanks for replying. To clarify what we are trying to do:

Scanning of a particular registry tree (relating to a software application we develop) causes long delays and performance issues on client computers. So we would like to exclude just a single tree, not the whole registry.

I can see no way to do this in any documentation, but thought someone may have a workaround.

            Thanks all for your time.
