I have just passed on your information. In the future any (New) False Artemis! Detection needs to have a thread of it,s own. It makes it difficult for the McAfee Lab Techs to differentiate one from the other. Your escalated Ticket number is Ticket #: AM000756 - False Artemis! (Hash Values included)
Is it still going on?
1) Yesterday, I checked all codes of the installer that is flagged as "malware" by mcafee-virustotal LINE BY LINE, comparing to the program's code that is not detected as "Artemis"
Two codes are very similar, but one is detected, the other is not.
2) Even though I exclude all actual download files from the installer, which means "an empty installer" . The virustotal-Mcafee & Mcafee-GW-Edition still shows Artemis!20C9ACB96609 & BehavesLike.Win32.Dropper.vc
3) Also, I checked all actual download files (exe, dll etc.) included in the installer through the virustotal, and the files have no problem with Mcafee&Mcafee-GW edition.
It has been a long while, and this issue is some important to me and my team.
Please, give me any feedback from the lab, or please let me know what to do now
