Inside Policy Catalog | Host Intrusion Prevention 8.0:IPS | IPS Rules (Windows, Linux, Solaris) you have the option to filter for Log status.
I assume you have some signatures to Log status = Disabled. Can you filter them out and check if it applies to you ?
Changed all signatures that had log status=disabled to enabled. Unfortunately, still nothing generated that would assist in finding out why installation keeps hanging. Perhaps using ClientControl to stop HIPS for the install and then restarting services may be an option.
