Below is a link to a McAfee knowledge article referring to how to exclude Winvnc.
Also McAfee has been deleting the RealVNC file Logmessages.dll after the DAT update 5386. This is supposed to be fixed with DAT 5387. I have had one system that had this deleted overnight.
I ran into this issue today as well. The linked KB article doesn't actually have instructions on how to do it in ePo 4.
I think I figured it out (someone correct me if I am wrong).
Review the Alert that was e-mailed to you to see the name of the threat. For me they were:
Then on your ePo server, edit your applicable Policy under the VirusScan Enterprise 8.5.0 -> Unwanted Programs Policies section.
In the "Scan Items" section -> Unwanted program exclusions -> Exclusion Name , add in each of the detected threats from above.
(Don't forget that you have a "Workstation" and a "Server" section for each policy. )
Then wait an hour for all your Agents to check in, or send them all a Wake-Up packet.
