    SMB allowing solar winds

    brewerv

Having trouble with Windows servers communicating with Solar Winds due to EPO server blocking SMB port 445. Signature 6045 is blocking SMB traffic in Networking IPS area. How do I allow SMB traffic?

Not quite sure where this belongs - probably ePO.

Moved accordingly from Community Support to Business --> ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) for attention.

EPO itself does not block anything.  This sounds like a HIP (Host Intrusion Prevention) question.  To resolve, you'd need to find the HIP IPS Rules policy applied to the systems in question (where the traffic is being blocked), and either disable that signature or put some sort of exception in place (It's been a while since I worked with HIP so I'm not sure exactly how to allow that traffic, but this would be the general method).
