Yip - I'm getting it as well. Was also just about to post. I've tried a few times this morning. each time it fails on the dat download. Its not a bandwidth problem on my side.
Same error each time:
VerifyFileItem: File hash code verification for C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\nai17F.tmp\00000003\avvdat-5382.zip failed.
CheckInMirrorPackage: Verify file avvdat-5382.zip size and hash failed, hr=-112
I think i might finally be getting 5382 through ftp (although its either not been there or the file hash has failed lots this morning already) 20 minutes for the dat file only is a joke though.
Its their repos, sometimes they dont bother to update the ftp long after http has been, and sometimes the files they add seem to just be corrupt then get replaced later. Next account meeting im going to give them so much **** about it.
UPDATE: arghhhhhh failed at 21 minutes....
I am getting the same today ... Hash failed.
Got Mcafee consultant visiting us next week to try sell us a world wide deployment
an extra 10,000 machines .... I am going to give him hell about the FTP and the non GPO support.
i downloaded the file manually (http://update.nai.com:80/Products/CommonUpdater/Current/VSCANDAT1000/DAT/0000/av vdat-5382.zip)
I can open it and it looks ok, but I can't find anywhere to manually check it in (EPO4)
Software Tab , Check in Package should work ..
After tring every 5 minutes (Automated) since 6am i've finally got the DAT.
but i've missed the update at logon (grrrrrr)
Thanks - still no go.
Unknown failure processing package
I'll keep retrying the download sad
The dat zip failed CRC check when i downloaded it manually.
I just checked my EPO http pull task log. It showed that it failed to get the latest DAT's on 09/09 and 09/08 at around 11am CST. It usually gets the DAT after about 3 tries. We configured our EPO server to run a pull task every 15 minutes.
My gut feeling that the problem is with the huge size of the EPO package. We had a terrible problem pulling about 2 weeks ago. This caused me to manually downloaded the EPO DAT package and add it manaully to the repository.
Hopefully, McAfee can sort this out soon.
I managed to get it (5382) on http at 11.30 although on ftp this was not even showing as an option..
thanks Mcafee for making my morning
