It is confgured from ePO, it is a client task.
How can I disable with ePO the Default Task?
Just delete or disable the client task within ePO for that machine.
I don't believe that EPO can disable the VirusScan default scan task. I have not seen any options in the EPO policies to do that. The only option that you can disable is the "Local AutoUpdate task".
If you know a way to disable that task from EPO 3.6.1 then let me know.
That is one of the reasons that I don't add an EPO controlled scan task. I can't see from ePO what time the default task is set to run so it makes it hard to decide on what time to set for a EPO controlled scan task. In my testing, McAfee VirusScan will run two scan tasks at the same time which would really slow a workstation to a crawl.
well by default there is no client side task created by ePO to run a full scan.
And the default task that is put in VSE8.5 is not scheduled by default
