I just used virustotal after I find the place where the file is stored. The results of the scan is on the link
11 posities and 55 negatieve.
Could each of you kindly confirm if your issues have been resolved, or not.? This will assist us in determining if we need to escalate internally on your behalf?
In any case, since it has been over 5 days since you posted. I have escalated your case internally. Your Escalation Ticket # is as follows...
Ticket #: AM000661 - False Artemis!
Thank you in advance,
I have contacted the Dutch support and they give me first the advise to remove and after that to reinstall the mcafee app.
I did that, but the issue remains.
Then I spoke with the support & service of mcafee. To make clear to them I asked to read my email again to goto the link of virustotal.
I guided the support to the tab "file details" (in dutch "bestandsgegevens")
If you click on contained files "classes.dex" and SHA256: Antivirus scan for 202077e55e346c39f70d8c4eb3f1f4c79bbfa22b70033085449ead59b5eb559e at2016-09-13 23:46:29 UTC - VirusTot…
After a while I get the advice:
1. if I trust it (!!!) I could set file "com.motorola.android.jvtcmd.apk" on the white list
2. Otherwise I could disconnect the app!!
Further I could contact motorola for help, which I did.
The first answer of motorola: "Dear Frans,
Thank you for contacting Motorola.
My name is Pradyumna from Motorola E-mail Support and it will be my pleasure to assist you with any concern that you might have.
I'm very sorry to say that Motorola devices wont support any Anti-Virus applications because our device are free virus devices."
The status of the issue was set to Solved!
I was not satisafied and I asked for more help, then I got the reaction/advice:
Make a Factory Data Reset.
For the moment I wait before I shall do this.
Could you kindly confirm if your detection has been suppressed? As I received correspondence back from McAfee Labs that it has been 'Whitelisted'?
The reported file is clean. Detection has already been suppressed
