yes use the files from there but make sure to install the epo agent first
Thanks for your reply.
Just to be sure you want me to do this:
1. Install agent from the framepkg.exe file downloaded from the EPO web interface.
2. Install Mcafee 8.5i from the ZIP file that I checked in to the EPO web interface.
Now one last question. If the client computer cannot connect to the internet or the EPO server is there a quick way to get the latest virus definitions to it?
If you can't connect to the Internet or ePO server, and you need to update your definitions quick then you should probably just copy the dat file to a flash drive or a disk and run it over to the machine that needs it, or share it from a machine that can connect to it. If you can connect to the Internet on a different machine (like the one you're posting from), then you can find McAfees latest dat file at http://www.mcafee.com/apps/downloads/security_updates/dat.asp?region=us&segment= enterprise.
Also, I believe the dat file on your ePO server is located at C:\Program Files\McAfee\ePolicy Orchestrator\DB\Software\Current\SUPERDAT1000\SuperDAT\0000 and is called setup.exe. You might try copying that over to your machine and giving it a shot until you can get your global updates running.
