ENS Firewall:Options:Tuning Options - "Disable McAfee core networking rules"

Under what circumstances would one want to enable this setting? The category ("Tuning Options") where one finds this setting in the "Options" policy seems to imply that ePO might function normally if the "McAfee core networking"  firewall rule group was disabled. However there are rules in the group that affect basic operating system components , e.g. ntoskrnl.exe (ENS 10.x Firewall Core Networking Rules (SYSTEM) ), which make me wonder when it is/isn't appropriate to disable this rule group.
