Have you tried a complete restart of the system? Mine did exactly that but when rebooted everything worked as it should (except some minor hacks and tweaks I had, which need redoing).
Yep but I appear to have more problems now. Virtual Technician says I have 35 issues some of which it cannot fix. I thought I'd try a uninstall and reinstall but when I try to uninstall I get message web page not found. Not sure whats going on. All other programs work fine
Go to Control Panel > Programs and Features and uninstall all McAfee products.
Reboot if asked to.
Run the MCPR cleanup tool and reboot.
Reinstall from your online account.

I feel that if you follow Colleague Ex_Brit's advice, it should resolve your issues. You might also after Windows has fully loaded, and you have re-installed your Software. Right click on your McAfee Icon in your lower Task Bar, and click on (Verify Subscription).
Just my 2 Cents
