Did you by chance install/activate 'Truekey' as well? It requires a additional serial number to install. You can contact Technical Support at no cost, via Phone/Online Chat being the most expedient.

You have to add the machine on your account page. I think you were perhaps trying to install the same one you had already used?
The serial number you talk about is displayed at every new download screen and is time-sensitive (one is supposed to note it down in case the installation goes pie-shaped so the downloaded installer will work again, but that is only valid for a short while). So you'd have to start all over again from scratch.
ohhhh yes I am trying to install the same one I installed on this lap top. Comcast has opted to go with Nortons antivirus instead of Mcafee so darn. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH. I so appreciate all your help
