I've downloaded and installed latest patch but still doesnt fix the issue.
ePO is now version 5.3.2 build 156
I had a similar issue some time ago with this feature.
I solved it opening the port 443 from epo to "epo.McAfee.com" and installing a certificate:
I've already tried the certificate and didnt help :-(
The ePO server is going through a proxy server so cant open 443
If all you other stuff downloads fine from ePO using the proxy, I'd have to go with the certificate issue or a proxy config issue. Maybe the IP for ePO is not whitelisted to go to epo.mcafee.com
It really depends how it is configured. When YOU try from the server, you're using you own credentials. What is it configured for, for ePO.
another test you can try is wget epo.mcafee.com from a system command prompt (psexec cmd.exe)
I had the same issue.. Found out my Windows Servers are not set to autoupdate certs.
McAfee KB 74029 will walk you through manually downloading the current certs and then installing on the ePO windows server..
hope that helps
Thanks for replies. I've already looked at KB 74029 and isnt the same error (applied cert anyway and still happening).
I've just rebuilt the same environment in my lab and using Squid Proxy I'm getting the same error message. So looks like its a setting using Squid Proxy
