HIPS Firewall Policy Window does not open fully

    ace_st

My company needs to add IP address into HIPS firewall policy to allow traffic between work stations and a server.

We were attempting to add the exceptions into a new Model of Laptop we just got HP 745G3, however when we go to add the IPs, the window is not showing all the options. It is like part of the window is cut off.

We changed the resolution on the screen and it did not affect the window.

Has anyone else seen this? I added screen shots of what it should look like and what it does now.

Try reinstalling the Visual C++ packages that come in the HIPS installation zip file.

          If 32bit, run:

          vcredist_x86_2005.exe

          vcredist_x86_2010.exe

          If 64bit, run all:

          vcredist_x64_2005.exe

          vcredist_x64_2010.exe

          vcredist_x86_2005.exe

          vcredist_x86_2010.exe

Since HIPS is an ePO-managed product only, you should be adding these rules via ePO policy (e.g., ePO server console; not local clientUI).
