Master Repository Pull error on ePO 4.0

      Good morning,
I have problem to pull the master repository. The schedulled task or manual pull always end with the error:

      • Skipping package Current\LSCANENG1000\5.2.00\Engine\\0000, no managed product installed
      • Skipping package Current\ENCPTCNT6000\7.0.0.1969\DAT\\0000, no managed product installed

      • Failed to download file Current\VSCANDAT1000\DAT\0000\dat-5276.zip from site update.nai.com:80, error code 12002

System: ePolicy Orchestrator 4.0 on Windows Server 2003 R2 32-bit EN

I have succesfully updated the master repository with manual download of DAT files package for ePO from McAfee website and manual "Check In Package" process.

But since then after the new DAT files ware released the error is back again.

There is also the information from Dashboard:
      ---
      Master Repository Status
The latest MyAvert information was not successfully retrieved from McAfee.

My Repository DATs and Engines are 5275.000 and 5200.2160.
Latest Available DATs and Engines are --.

      Last Check: Unknown
      ---

      Can anybody help?

      Thank you in advance

            Hi...

The message you have posted doesn't mention the DAT file (which has a product code of VSCANDAT1000) - are there any other messages that mention this product code?

It's quite possible for the updates in your list to be skipped - they are for products which you may not have. So for example LSCANENG1000 is the Linux scan engine - if you do not have any Linux products checked in, then the pull task will skip this update as you don't have any products that can use it.

            Regards -

            Joe

              Hi Joe,

              Thanks for the reply.

The weird thing is, when I tried to do a Pull Now its showed No Package Found

So, I downloaded the SDAT - I check in the package. Solve the Pull Now problem

I can see the package list now.

But the strange thing is, afterward the automated pull task show skipping package again n I go back to Pull Now

I'm back to No Package Found message

That sounds like the ePO server is not able to get the catalog.z from the source site, and so does not know what is available... are you pulling directly from one of the McAfee sites? Do you have any kind of proxy between the server and the source site that could be blocking catalog.z?

Have a look at the epoapsrv.log on the server for the time of the pull - are there any errors logged?

                Regards -

                Joe
