You can disable the Default AutoUpdate task in the VirusScan -> General Options Policy -> Display Options Policy.
Under Console Options check the 'Disable default AutoUpdate task schedule', third one down in the image below.
But don't forget to create a New McAfee Agent Update Task and assign it to the System, or you will never get updates

Thanks you very much for your anwser.
The problem is for the Laptops clients, some clients aren't often on the network.
I want to be sure the updates run and is active.
When you create the McAfee Agent Product Update Task and assign it to the Client, during the Assign Client Task configuration at the Schedule stage (Stage 2) under options near the bottom you can configure the task to run if it was missed (ie the client was suspended or powered off at the scheduled time) with a suitable delay to allow boot etc.
We do this with all our front office machines, and have then schedule to run the update task at 01:00 am knowing full well most of them will be offline, but will run the task 10 mins after boot.
Providing you have the mcafee http and/or mcafee ftp repository enabled the clients will pull the DTAs directly from McAfee if your ePO server is not contactable.
Ok, I understand.
Thansk very much.
