    Access protection rules and logs

The other day we changed our policy to log access protection rules. However when we did that, our log box was flooded with thousands of errors from Mcafee and ePO. in event viewer it shows as an event 257. Alot of the files that seem to be "blocked" are temp internet files (which makes sence). But then I started seeing in the logs where it was trying to block programs that are used and needed (Exel, adobe, outlook, Etc.). Since we are only logging and not blocking we are fine, but why is mcafee logging that it would block these programs and files that should be trusted. Do I have to make exceptions to EVERY program we use? If I changed the policy to actually block unwanted programs, would it actually block office and adobe and others that are needed?

Any ideas. I can provide logs if that would be helpful.
