Update failed errors

We receive approximately 5 -10 ePO alerts a day with the following message. Some are VSE 8.00, Some VSE 8.5i.
"Update failed; see event log (from XXX workstation, IP Address XXX, User System running Virusscan ENT 8.00 UPD)
This has been pretty regular for sometime. When I pull the agent log from the offending cpu, the agent log does not show a failure.
Has anyone seen this type of problem? Any input is welcome and thanks in advance,
VSE8.5i patch 5 and VSE 8.00 patch 16
