if it is a clean and new install -> never
Thank you Metalhead for your answer.
Is there a reboot if the client has a viruscan 7.1 install with an inactive Agent ?
Thank you very much again !
doing a reboot is often required when upgrading any software. Programs often load and lock files that are currently running in memory, and these files can't be updated or replaced when locked. Windows will create a task to run when the machine is rebooted to remove the old files and install the newer ones. (drivers especially!)
Speaking for the ePO Agent and VSE I have only needed a reboot in very rare cases.
