I created a policy assignment rule with a tag for the firewall rule policies, this works fine.
The artikel you reffering to is the product guide, it gives no answers to the question bum asked.
It shows how to configure the local clients and apply policies to the product itself.
I think Bum has problems to apply policys to the firewall when using ePO.
I am having the same issue, I have a small network of 5 computers and an EPO (on Site) Server running version 5.3.1, I have entered a new port I want to let through the McAfee Endpoint Security 10.1 Firewall on all the computers, I have entered it into epo and it has replicated to the clients via policy updates, but the client on the epo server is not enforcing the new firewall policy, it is still blocking port (25017), the port I need it to let through, I am able to temporarily disable the firewall on the client on the epo server and the connection when then work, but for some reason the client on the epo server will not enforce (let through) this port. I have verified the new rule is above the "Block All" Rule so the precedence is ok on the policy manager.
Hey McAfee, you listening ?, how about a suggestion on fixing this issue for us ?
