Check in Control Panel > Programs and Features for McAfee Security Scan Plus as that may be causing it, if found, uninstall it.
It comes as an optional download with many apps, particularly Adobe Flash etc.
If not that then run the Virtual Technician to see if it finds and fixes anything.

MVT: green tick, no problems found
Ran MVT a fortnight ago as McAfee Spyware was red, which MVT fixed.
Do you by any chance get your software via 3rd parties such as your ISP, PC maker or suchlike? Sometimes they are slow passing on the latest version of the software to their clients.
also if you are in the practice of running registry cleaners, those can cause malfunctions in software as they invariably remove too much so that then necessitates a complete removal of the software, clean-up, reboot and reinstall

'LiveSafe' was a retail purchase (Cardboard sleeve)
I do run CCleaner everyday to clear cookies etc. (THOUGH last ran CCleaner Registry clean on 21/1/16)

Ccleaner is good for removing stubborn programmes that wont go on their own by all means of uninstallation possible, but otherwise I avoid it.
Good luck, that's probably all that's needed. It takes me approximately 25 minutes to do it.
Uninstall normal way.
Run MCPR and reboot when asked
Reinstall from online account (not from any media you may have).
Usually fixes everything.
Uninstalled / ran MCR / Downloaded and installed from myaccount.
Windows 10 seems happy now. (touchwood)
Did get 'Windows Smart Screen 'warning whilst installing 'LiveSafe'.
