    Duplicate GUID Linux agent

    kongda

      Our Linux Sysadmin cloned a Linux Server without removing the Agent GUID line in registry.ini

      Resolved the Client by stopping the agent and removing the Agent GUID entry.   When the agent starts again it will create a new one. Log in as root.

      1. Stop CMA Agent  # /etc/init.d/cma stop

      2.#cd /opt/McAfee/cma/scratch

      3.edit the "registry.ini"  with a text editor like vi

      4 Locate and delete the following line:

      AgentGUID=sz{XXXXX-XXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXXX}

      5.start the agent

      #/etc/init.d/cma start

      Once your cma starts it will create new GUID.
