    My McAfee anti-virus program is not functioning!

      Something is drastically wrong with my McAfee anti-virus program on my laptop.  When I boot up (Windows 10) I get a message that my computer is not protected.  When I open the McAfee Security Center, I see this:

      SecurityCenter.jpgReal-Time Scanning stays permanently stuck in "Starting" mode and McAfee Updates stays permanently stuck in "In progress" mode.  It remains this way until I shut down, and nothing I do makes any difference.  Something is interfering with the program getting started.  I have had McAfee since 2011 and Windows 10 since August, but I have just begun to have this problem in the past week.

       

      Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
