Epo 4.0 - unable to download updates from mcafee ???

      Hi,

Just recently installed and configuring EPO version 4.0. When I tried to do an automated Update Master Repository it always fails. Tried HTTP and FTP with the same results:

      It fails straight away with:

1/16/08 10:08:56 AM Started: Pulling content from McAfeeHttp to Current branch
1/16/08 10:08:57 AM Pull from site McAfeeHttp complete, no warnings
1/16/08 10:08:58 AM Failed: Update Master Repository (Failed to decompress the file)

      Any ideas ?

I have the same problem but the last sentence is "Failed to verify the file size, check server task log for details".
I had this problem before with ePO 3.6.1 and although i have installed a clean vesrion of ePO 4.0, the same problem remained.

I think the console.log should give you more details.

Is this a single event or does it never complete?

I have seen my servers fail pulls all the time but they end up downloading after a few tries.

sorry for not replying, as it suddenly started working. However this morning it has stopped again ! :(

Found out there is a EpoApSvr.log file which says:

McAfee had problems with their download servers - now it should be working again.

                    • 7. RE: Epo 4.0 - unable to download updates from mcafee ???
just started happening again last few days.

NA suggested deleting the old dats and trying again. I deleted both dats so now have no protection and still won't work :(

                      Any ideas ?
