Moved to ePO for better support.
At first find out duplicates machines..Run query for the same..
Take decision which machine you required and delete duplicate 1...
Locate and click Queries under MENU
In the search field type dupli and search for queries containing the name
Sort by system name
Notice that the last communication time will be different between system1 and its
duplicate counterpart. Delete the system that has and older timestamp.
Other than automating the clean up process, is there anyway we could target the root cause of this ?
Or do we have better chance in educating the support or users on this ?
Also look in the Server Tasks, there should be two tasks l;abeled "Duplicate Agent GUID" One clears the error count, the other removes the duplicate systems. Much easier.
I believe the original question was dealing with duplicate systems.
Duplicate agent GUIDs is associated with sequence errors and is a different conversation. You want to be very careful when removing any asset from ePO. With regard to sequence errors and the associated "clear the error count and remove the duplicate system", this is to remedy registry GUID declarations that need to be cleared out and re-established. The system is removed from the tree with the hopes it will re-establish a connection to ePO. The cause is usually a companies master image and the GUID not being cleared out. You could have a McAfee agent communication issue problem and if you then remove the system you might not get it back.
just as thought that I thought you would want to know.
Did you use ePO to deploy the McAfee Agent to the computers, or another method e.g. manual install or SCCM? Is is possible that the McAfee Agent is being installed multiple times on the computers?
Thank you for you help,
i made synchronization with a AD and setup MA automatically on all systems using admin domain rights.. u think that had link with duplicated systems ?.
That s what i done and that work thank you a lot
