This is a known issue and the fix is being tested as we speak. Until it is released you can try the following Work Around.
This applies to Windows 7 SP1/8/8.1/10 with McAfee Security Center v14.1076 and up.
( Or any Version above v14.339 and up, if I am not terribly mistaken)
1- Open your McAfee Security Center
2- Click on Navigation
3- Click on General Settings and Alerts
4 - Expand 'Access Protection' and (Uncheck it) Click apply
5- Go to 'Check for Updates'
6- After Updates are installed, repeat steps 1-4 and place a check back in 'Access Protection' (Re-enable)
Click Apply. Close McAfee Security Center.
The most current Engine Version is (2382.0)
Please apprise us of your results.

Can you post the version of McAfee security center you have please?
I have version 14.0
For some reason, I was unable to directly 'reply' to catdaddy.
I tried the work around and it was successful. Not sure how often I need to do this. When there is a 'fix' for this issue (and I hope soon), will I have to do anything on my end, or would it happen automatically?
When the fix arrives, you should not have to take any further steps. Wonder why you could not post to me? Could you attempt to again please? Glad that all is okay
I took the Liberty and marked the thread ' Correctly Answered', hope you do not mind.
All the very Best,
I might add also this Platform has a tendency at times having you thinking that you are 'Logged in', when actually you are not.
Any idea when there will be a 'permanent' fix to this issue?
Like yourself and all other end users, we wished the fix was yesterday. As Colleague Peacekeeper/Ex_Brit and myself, we are in no position to say an exact date. All I can say at this moment in time,is it is on the 'High Prority' list and we expect an fix very soon.
All the best,
OK, thanks! Any suggestions as to how often each day I should use the 'work around' until this issue is resolved?
