I moved this to Mobile Devices as a better spot for it.
smsreg is malware according to what I read on the web.
I opened my Android tablet to see if I could ,get information on what to do when an infection is detected.
As far as I can gather the software simply deletes it.
But your best bet is to contact Mobile Technical Support here, it's free: FAQs/Search
Change country at top right if necessary.
I might add, that I have observed some removal guides, that recommend running the Application 'AdwCleaner' which is in the list of Tools I inserted.
If this is an Android device then AdwCleaner wont apply I 'm afraid.
Now that you mention it...You are quite correct.
Thanks Peter...My Bad.
One solution that might help would be MalwareBytes Mobile App. it's free and would provide extra protection.
Alright, I'll try with these three apps.
(Yeah it's android, a tablet, thanks for moving it to its respective place)
I'll tell you the result when I do it.
Thanks everyone, very helpful.
I suggest only using the MalwareBytes Free app and scanning with that. I don't think the others mentioned have App format.
