Its automatic with EPO you dont need alert manager
So in VSE would you disable centralised alerting because the agent is doing it anyway, or do you still need to pick a particular alerting option?
if you are using epo just disable the centralised alerting, I have mine set to alert on all categories but the destination has the disable alerting set
Sorry to bring this back to life, but i am haveing a few problems with my alerts, some times they work, some times they dont.
I just want to check i am looking at the right area for the configuration of these alerts.
I am in VSE 8.5.0.>Alert Policies>
Here i am given the choices to select, what components generate the alerts. Also under that section is the Alert Manager Options, is this where i say disable alerting?
I was having a similar issue nothing was showing up in the event log. I rebooted the ePO server and everything showed up. We had a problem with our SQL cluster so I am guessing it lost its connection.
Yeah if i reboot then, all the alerts start to come through
