I recently got a new laptop running Windows 7. I use it at work and at home. My default browser is Chrome.
I run PasswordBox to connect to most sites requiring a password. To avoid tampering while away from my laptop, I set Auto-Lock to 1 minute, so PasswordBox is usually off when I need a password to enter a new site.
On my previous laptop (running the same configuration), PasswordBox would detect any url requiring a password even when it was off and a window would pop up to enter the master password. PasswordBox would then enter the required password and connect to the site.
On the new laptop, the popup does not appear, so I am forced to click on the extension icon and enter the master password. I much prefer the popup.
How can I fix this issue?
I fixed the issue . I simply uninstalled the PasswordBox extension from Chrome and reinstalled it. Now the popup appears when PB is not connected and a password is required. I enter the master password and PB does its thing.
Note that I tried a number of things first. Let's hope it's not a combination of things that was the solution
