I have taken the Class room based learning, although delivered through a McAfee Partner. The content was very thorough and concise and delivered across 4 days.
I took the Prometric CBT the following week and complete the test within 35 minutes and passed first time. I do have five years experience with ePO which no doubt helped but the course content was great.

I appreciate the insight. Unfortunately, I would have to travel pretty far to attend one of these classes. This is why I'm looking at the e-Learning courses as a possible alternative.
Most of the live McAfee courses no longer require that you be on site - they can be taken remotely. I've taken the VirusScan/ePO course remotely and it was pretty good. Just contact the number here http://www.mcafee.com/ca/services/product-training/index.aspx to confirm.
I am one of the instructors that teach this class for Intel Security. You have three options available for taking the class. As others have stated we offer classes around the country. If you would prefer or are limited in being able to go, you can attend the class remotely. You will have books sent to you and you will be provided the necessary virtual systems in the cloud for all labs. The last option is if your company wants to have the class taught onsite at you business. Systems would be sent for each student and the class would be taught where you work.
I don't handle any other areas of the conversation such as cost and logistics. That would be a conversation with your Intel Security representative. If you have any other questions please feel free to drop me an email and I will make sure the right people get it.
Does e-learning classes are free for McAfee partners??????
