I assume you are running Windows 7 Sp1? I also run McAfee Total Protection. If you would please open your 'Task Manager', click on 'Processes'>Show Processes from all users. Just below 'McAPExe.exe (McAfee Access Protection)
You should see 'McCSPservice' which is defined as (McAfee Cloud Service Platform) Also kindly Open your McAfee UI,and click on Navigation >Firewall > Internet Connections for Programs.
Scroll down and you should see listed as 'McAfee CSP Service Host' Expand on the (Button) and you should see the following :
File Name C:\program files\common files\McAfee\CSP\1.5.450.0\McCSP Service Host.exe Company:McAfee,Inc.
I also was wondering if the Service was Legitimate, to the extent I brought it up during a Conference call. I was informed by Mark R that it had something to do with the New McAfee Web Advisor, and pertaining to the McAfee Global Threat Intelligence base.
To further reassure yourself, you can run the latest McAfee Getsusp Tool. Simply add your Email address under 'Preferences' before scanning. As the scan is running, notice closely and you will see this service. You can access this Superb Application by the Link below Colleague Ex_Brit's Signature.

Not showing in my Task Mgr CD & I do have WA but then maybe it's associated with another process as I don't have Parental Controls or Anti-Spam installed and I believe you do..
I think at the time I brought it up, Both you and PK said the same. But on my machine it is . That very well could be the reason, as you mentioned. I even contacted several friends to see if the process was on their machines, (Windows 7 Sp1) and indeed it was.
If I am not terribly mistaken, they also had Parental Controls/Anti-pam installed also.
I forgot to mention that I experience no excessive CPU usage though.
mccpspservicehost.exe is not a McAfee executable. Of course, if the OP mistyped it and they really have mccspservicehost.exe - that's another matter.
but mccpspservicehost.exe - that's not ours for sure.
I forgot to mention that as well. I did notice the difference. It could very well have been a 'Typo' on his/her part
I have to leave here shortly, However I can post a 'Screen Shot'
