Set the time back on your workstation, and you should be able to get logged into the UI.
After that you can set the NGCP password and login over SSH/SCP to apply the patch.

I'm having the same issue. How far back did you set the time? I can't even ssh into the VM as I receive the error "No supported authentication method available" after entering the username.
In Windows clock settings I set time back to 1 year
Accesed ESM web UI, changed NGCP password via initial wizzard.
Then accessed ESM via winscp copied fix-patch.
