Hey all, working on an issue with one workstation and not sure if it's related but here are the facts.
HP Desktop DC6300
Windows 7 Enterprise 32bit
Internet Explorer 8 (I know, we're moving to 10 in a week)
When downloading a PDF which IE8 wants to load in the browser, download gets almost 100% done then stops and won't load. After scouring the event logs and what not I stumbled on this:
Task Category: None
Blocked by Buffer Overflow Protection C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe!*::NTDLL.KiUserExceptionDispatcher::39c0000 = BO:Writable BO:Heap.
<Provider Name="McLogEvent" />
<TimeCreated SystemTime="2015-04-17T13:57:05.000000000Z" />
<Security UserID="S-1-5-18" />
<Data>Blocked by Buffer Overflow Protection C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe!*::NTDLL.KiUserExceptionDispatcher::39c0000 = BO:Writable BO:Heap.</Data>
It happened today but there are no events past this date so I am pretty it has nothing to do with what's going on. Any ideas or input would be much appreciated! Thanks for your time.
I may have found my answer on this one. KB81308 Explains it clearly!
