It shouldn't be like that, have you tried one more time and select the option of move existing package to previous branch,. If still it is not happening than restart ePO services and try. Let me know the results.
This is what I'm doing. I go to Automation / Server Tasks and there I have edited the "Update Master Repository" task and scheduled it to run several minutes later.
The task runs but the DAT does not update. Should it have updated the DAT to the latest version when Updating the master repository?
Eventually it did update to the 7718 version. I scheduled the repository update to run again and this time it did update to 7718.
One more question: can the ePO push the DAT update to the clients immediately after the repository has been updated?
You could enable Global Updating (server settings) which will trigger a client update task as soon as it is checked into the Master a repository.
