My guess would be an error in the expiry date perhaps?
But we can't access that information from the forums so it would be best to call Customer Service directly, it's a free call.

I think it has something to do with typing in the new credit card number. Usually when you type in the number you get a black dot which hides your number as you type. But when I go to do that it actually shows the number.
Have you contacted Customer Service as Colleague Ex_Brit suggested. It is free?
No. I'm reluctant to give my credit card number over the phone. I prefer to use secure servers.
I can appreciate your preference. Having said this, I can assure you that it is safe as I have chosen many a time to Renew by Phone. Especially when I contact them directly.
All the very Best,

Have you tried cutting and pasting your credit card number in? You could draft it in Notepad for instance and then simply highlight, cut and paste. ctrl-x, ctrl-v
