which is a problem with Certificates on the system.
If this is the cause: VSE v8.8 Patch 1 does not have this issue. VSE v8.8 Patch 4 also improves on the Certificate handling. However on 64-bit systems, Patch 2 is a prerequisite to simply patching to P4. So, installing VSE v8.8 P4 directly (after uninstalling the previous version) may help. Otherwise, you may need to clean up the Certificate trust issues, which is a Microsoft based solution.
