delta-homes is a highly suspicious site. It's appears at first glance to be a portal or search engine, but functionality is practically non-existent and parts of the site either do not work at all or - for example, the About and Privacy pages - have no content. Possibly there is hidden code there which is only activated if the site is accessed by a device which has been exposed to one of the PUP downloaders.
And if these things influence your opinion of a site, be aware that it's a Chinese operation. Runs on a server in the US, but it's set up in Beijing.
Domain Name: DELTA-HOMES.COM
Registrar URL: http://www.godaddy.com
Registrant Name: xiaoyang zhang
Registrant Organization: Beijing ELEX Technology Co., Ltd
WOT coverage is universally hostile
So I think getting rid of anything connected to it is a very good idea.
Has this been resolved? Is there maybe extra DAT for this?
One can try this Removal Guide How to easily remove Delta-Homes.com virus (Removal Guide)
Or can Run the latest McAfee Getsusp Tool to see if it detects it, and will add it to the McAfee GTI Data Base.
This Superb Free Tool and others can be obtained here: Anti-Spyware/Malware & Hijacker Tools
Thanks for that, busy running GetSusp. Why doesn't McAfee VSE detected and delete this?
That is a question better answered by one with more expertize in regards to the Corporate Products. By Running the McAfee Getsusp Tool, it will submit any Suspicious/Unknown Detections to the McAfee Global Threat Intelligence Base.
Please remember to add your Email Adress under "Preferences" before scanning. You should receive a confirmation from McAfee Labs with a Work Item ID #.
