Are you downloading it from Adobe.com or from a 3rd party website? I have no difficulty downloading it here. I don't even get a prompt from McAfee but I do from Windows before executing the installer.
Make sure that Windows 7 is up to date, i.e. SP1 and, very important even though you may not use it, make sure that Internet Explorer is version 11.
You shouldn't have a "messed up" Chrome. I would consult Technical Support about that, it's free by phone or online chat and linked below. If they can't fix things at the first try ask for escalation.

I agree. If McAfee is interfering with a Facebook game I would look closely at the game and see if it's totally legit. Plus I use Chrome and McAfee doesn't "mess it up". Problems with Chrome are usually down to badly-coded third-party extensions. The Chrome Store is a lucky-dip of good and bad add-on apps. Best read the reviews before installing anything.
I am downloading it from Adobe web site. As for "messing up" my chrome, it most certainly is messing up my facebook. Half the games I play on FB are King games, but now only 3 actually work, McAfee has determined the rest of the King games are potentially harmful. And McAfee continues to allowe TV Wizard non stop ads. How am I to get rid of them when McAfee cant even detect them?
Ok, just tried one of my games in FB, thru Chrome. No Flash Player found. 11.5.0 version required.
Thats what came up. This is a King game. Now, I go to Chrome, about plugins, and this is what it says: As you can see I have ADOBE FLASH PLAYER.
Name: Shockwave Flash Description: Shockwave Flash 15.0 r0 Version: 22.214.171.124 Location: C:\Program Files\Google\Chrome\Application\38.0.2125.111\PepperFlash\pepflashplayer.dll Type: PPAPI (out-of-process) Enable MIME types: MIME type Description File extensions application/x-shockwave-flash Shockwave Flash .swf application/futuresplash FutureSplash Player .spl Name: Shockwave Flash Description: Shockwave Flash 15.0 r0 Version: 15,0,0,189 Location: C:\Windows\system32\Macromed\Flash\NPSWF32_15_0_0_189.dll Type: NPAPI
Have you got it enabled? ( Notice your Screenshot).
I might add that there will most likely be a (New) Version/Build of Adobe Flash Player released this upcoming Tuesday also. Being it will be Update/Patch "Tuesday".
I believe Chrome deals with Flash differently from other browsers, that said it may be an idea to try another browser perhaps?
This may help: Enable system Flash Player in Google Chrome | Windows | Mac
Sorry I meant to stress that the link I just gave tells you first to disable Pepperflash. If that isn't done it could be confusing the application(s).
