Artemis is the name the software gives to any detection that is unknown to the database. It may be a false detection or may be real. Open the software and, assuming home product, click Navigation then scroll down to the Quarantined and Trusted sections. Expand those and you should find more details.
If you fell that it's false read here: What To Do When McAfee Detects Legitimate Software As An Infection - How to Submit To McAfee Labs & Appeal
If it's real, once the labs have identified it, it will be given an actual detection name.
Meanwhile maybe run some tools from the last link below:
You can also post the file to www.virustotal.com and see what other scanners say.
When You submit the file post the analysis Id number you get in the reply email and I will chase it up if you do not get an answer in 4 days.
Thanks PK, I was just about to recommend the same. Glad I checked first....
For those patrolling this area from McAfee Labs I've added the Artemis number to the header of the first post so it will hopefully catch their eye.
I've send a email with attachments.
I'm just a customer for both mcafee and alibaba.
I use mcaffee virussan enterprise + antispyware enterprise version 188.8.131.527 with DAT version 7610.0000.
