Users of our EC2 instances were complaining about performance and slow response times. After investigating, I found that the naild process which I believe is the 'on access' scanning component was using 100% of CPU.
I then turned off 'on access' scanning via the online control panel and CPU usage then went back to normal however the control panel now seems to be 'disconnected' (see screenshot attached) and I cannot turn this feature back on or configure any 'on demand' scans. This is the same view displayed on all screens.
Please advise how to get a usable control panel back and then how to configure 'on access' scanning so that CPU usage is not 100%!
