How to know if mcafee cannot install itself even if the agent is installed?

      Hello everyone,

We had trouble on our network lately because of a virus and we discovered on one of the computers that the mcafee agent installed itself correctly but was not able to install the anitvirus itself. So for months, this computer was without antivirus protection at all. Is there a way to verify that through the Epolicy orchestrator?

Thank you in advance for your help?

If I were you, I would setup a dashboard with different monitors for each module you are using in your organization for compliance efforts. Basically create a query for each module, which will show which machines have what version of the module, and which don't have it at all.

For example, import the attached query into your ePO and run it, it will show all the machines with VSE installed and a blank for machines that do not have VSE installed.

You could create a Boolean pie chart and set the compliant criteria to VSE version > 1 which would report all systems with a version number as compliant, and all systems without as non compliant.

Once you have that you could creat a history compliance check point each day and plot the compliance history over time, hopefully showing the "uninstalled" count getting smaller over time. These are the kind of history compliance reports we have to send to our management.

If you would like some more details let me know and we can provide more instructions :)
